Textured, oil-rubbed bronze; satin brass and black; antique polished brass; or polished nickel--the Lake Shore lever offers a sleek silhouette in any of its finish options.

Whether entering the home after a long day or opening the door to an exotic hotel room, the turn of a handle represents a moment of anticipation.

Inspired by this vision of entrance as experience, Accurate Lock & Hardware partnered with acclaimed interior designer Jay Jeffers to develop Access by Accurate, a new line of decorative hardware, which they’ve deemed “door jewelry.”

“Having designed many homes and hand-selected numerous door knobs and lever handles, I was thrilled to be approached by Accurate to design the very first collection,” Jeffers says. “As we created the line, two goals were top of mind. We wanted to ensure it spoke to taking risk and having some fun, but we also felt it was imperative that every piece be able to serve as the perfect finishing touch to complete any space–much like jewelry for the home.”

Jeffers, an industry maven with a series of endeavors to his name, and Accurate, a company that has crafted custom solutions for projects the likes of the White House, are a match to make any design lover swoon.

Pulling inspiration from his own work and travels, or something as simple as a chic pair of headphones, Jeffers brought a series of unique ideas to the drawing board. Then, the Accurate team, backed by the company’s almost 50 years in the trade, breathed life into each design.

“Jay’s inaugural collection showcases his inventive use of materials and draws from a mix of contemporary, vintage and antique styles that stays true to his signature, curated aesthetic,” Accurate’s CEO, Reed M. Salvatore, shares. “Beyond the tactile experience of opening a door, Jay Jeffers for Access by Accurate allows us the opportunity to introduce a product line that creates an emotional connection to style, status and making a statement.”

Combining design with innovation, this line of hardware not only looks beautiful, but is available with a variety of Accurate’s proprietary solutions. Made to improve the overall experience of opening a door, these include smartphone-controlled mortise locks, quiet technology, magnetic latches and a hub adjust feature that keeps levers level.

The Access by Accurate brand will make its exciting debut to market this month at ICFF in New York, where eight silhouettes will be on display.
