In collaboration with the design team from Pembrooke & Ives and general contractor Paul Wittmann, landscape designer Keith L. Williams crafted an auto court out of acid-washed cast-stone pavers from Palm Beach Cast Stone to provide a new entry to this Hollywood Regency-style Palm Beach home. The black-and-white awnings are from American Awning.

Designers Andrew Sheinman, Kristine Greenblatt and Peggy Gubelmann turned the second-floor landing into something special with a series of 10 color etchings by Anish Kapoor. The vintage French upholstered leather chaise with a chrome X-form base is from John Salibello in New York, and the zebra rug is from the homeowners' collection.

At one end of the sumptuous living room, a purple Le Jeune sofa wearing Pierre Frey velvet and topped with purple silk ikat pillows from Jerry Pair is pure Hollywood glamour. White chairs upholstered in Donghia fabric flank the Duran coffee table with a borosilicate glass top and silicon bronze base from KGBL in New York. The silk area rug is from Fort Street Studio, also in New York, and artist Carolyn Ray painted the Holland & Sherry linen drapery sheers.

In the family room, artwork from the homeowners' collection hangs above a custom console with a high-gloss polished finish and inset glass top from Daniel Scuderi Antiques in New York. The trio of custom ottomans is covered in chocolate suede cowhide from Holly Hunt.

A custom table from Rossi Antiques in San Francisco has a poured-gold finish and is the undisputed centerpiece in the dining room. The homeowners' chairs were refreshed with green herringbone jacquard fabric from Jerry Pair, while the 1960s Italian chandelier--a composition of suspended glass balls with a brass starburst canopy--is from John Salibello. The hand-painted Porter Teleo Tangled drapery fabric is from David Sutherland.

Austrian chandeliers with clear-glass spherical shades from John Salibello add a vintage touch to the ultramodern custom high-gloss lacquer cabinets in the kitchen. Emeco barstools belly up to the island topped with polished crystal stone, which contrasts with the backsplash from Dente Trading in New Jersey. Julien sinks include stainless-steel faucets by Dornbracht.

In the family room, the designers covered an existing sectional with blue velvet from Rogers & Goffigon. The Joseph-Andre Motte armchairs in gray-and-charcoal wool are from 1stdibs, and the teak-root table with an ebonized finish is from Chista in New Jersey. A 1950s Arlus French swing-arm sconce from New York's Pascal Boyer Gallery hangs on the cerused white-oak panel walls along with artwork from the homeowners' collection. The hand-knotted area rug is from Beauvais, also in New York, and the geometric drapery fabric is from Pierre Frey.

A bronze sculpture, a gift from the husband to his wife, sits at the transition point between the living room and the loggia. Outside seating is provided by two B&B Italia sectionals with white steel frames from Walters Wicker in New York. The green stripe fabric on the accent pillows is from Hines & Co., also in New York, and the gray stone-topped coffee tables were custom-made.

White mesh chairs from Knoll provide a place to lounge by the new waveless lap pool from Royal Palm Pools. Specially imported Canary Island palm trees instill the backyard with a sense of order and symmetry.

Silver silk-woven fabric in a box pattern from Duralee lines the walls in the master bedroom, where the headboard is upholstered in teal velvet by de Le Cuona. Vintage mirrored chests from Roark in New York flank the bed covered with custom-embroidered cotton-sateen sheeting from Cristina Azario, also in New York. The textured glass-and-bronze lamps are from Ralph Pucci, and the Ad Reinhardt screen prints are from New York's C.J. Peters.

Also in the master bedroom, ancient deities from the homeowners' collection rest on a Carrara marble console table. The hand-tufted silk-and-wool tonal stripe carpet is from Beauvais, the drapery fabric is from Donghia, and the artwork is by Joan Mitchell.

It’s all about genius of Andrew Sheinman,” exudes one happy homeowner about the virtues of the veteran interior designer who took the excess of small rooms and meandering hallways in her Palm Beach home and turned them into commodious living spaces that factor in the soft tropical surroundings.

Along with designers Kristine Greenblatt and Peggy Gubelman, Sheinman crafted a traditional Palm Beach-meets-contemporary Hollywood glam look that is evident the moment you step onto the stone and grass grid that now forms the auto court and spy the series of crisp black and white awnings.

Inside, the salon-style living room features two sitting areas and dueling sofas–a large deep white tufted model on one end and a to-die-for lush purple velvet couch on the other. Throughout the house, spaces punctuated with wow moments abound.

The top of a round wood table covered with gold paint in the dining room lends a glamorous feel, while Scandinavian glass end tables filled with feathers in the living room add an unexpected touch. In the master bedroom, a velvet headboard against a padded silk wall helps create a sanctuary-like space for the homeowners.
