In anticipation of our inaugural RED Awards, which celebrates residential excellence in design, we set out to start a conversation about what inspires, enamors and empowers members of our community. Luxe tapped a select group of industry professionals and influencers to share what moves them, and their answers revealed a common theme: The spark for creativity is as varied as the myriad styles we feature in the pages of our magazines. Get to know these insiders on a more personal level, and find out what it means to #BeREDWithLuxe.

This is on the top of my wish list for my home:

A beautiful chest or console for the landing on my second floor. It has to be shallow in depth, so the perfect piece has eluded me so far.

The last art exhibit I saw was:

“Picasso The Line,” when it was at The Menil Collection. More recently, I just saw the Dior exhibit at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, and while it is not art in the traditional sense, it was the most exquisite exhibit I have ever seen.

My favorite hotel is:

Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley.

My pet is:

Tate, our 8-year-old cockapoo. He is the cutest, smartest, sweetest dog ever. He has a huge personality!

This is on the top of my wish list for my home:

While in Cork, Ireland, last year, I commissioned the extraordinarily talented furniture designer Joseph Walsh to create four one-of-a-kind dining chairs especially for me. He has a unique sensibility of finding forms and translating them into amazing structures that evolve and reveal themselves over time. One of my favorite places in the world is Oia, a small fishing village on the Greek Island of Santorini, where houses are carved directly into the porous volcanic rock, and the blue domes of the churches dot the landscape.
