WHO: By day, San Francisco-based Anne Cui works for an international aid organization, and in her spare time, she goes on far-flung adventures with her partner. Cui has a background in fashion and art history, so it’s no surprise that her feed emphasizes style and architecture.
WHAT: Cui’s images appear as a series of postcards from off-the-beaten-path destinations–all shot with her Fuji camera. Her Instagram handle is her first name and the phrase “par avion,” old-school slang for “airmail.”
WHY: As a passionate traveler, Cui has always been enamored by hard-to-reach places. So she created her account and blog as ways to share highlights and sound bites from the road as well as from places closer to home.
“My feed is an ever-evolving mood board. I like to take a deeper dive into a neighborhood, finding overlooked places. A road trip is one of my favorite ways to be inspired.”
