HAY is cooking up great design, thanks to its partnership with chef and restauranteur Frederik Bille Brahe.

Debuting in the MoMA Design Store in SoHo on Aug. 22, Hay Kitchen Market is the latest collaboration between the international design company and the Danish chef, who’s behind Atelier September and Apollo Bar in Copenhagen.

The collection is comprised of 225 kitchenware pieces — including trays, cutlery, dessert bowls, graters, water pitchers and more — sourced from around the globe. Its MoMA Design Store debut marks the first time Americans will be able to see and purchase items from the line.

Inspired by the cafe Bille Brahe created for HAY’s exhibition during Milan Design Week in 2016, the collection works to highlight the desire to have a well-stocked culinary arsenal that doesn’t skimp on design.

Bille Brahe — who’s known for his simple yet intriguing dishes — worked with co-founder Mette Hay to select his top picks to have on hand.

“Together, Mette and Frederik combined their diverse backgrounds and shared passion for design to create a collection based on function that is relevant for people in all stages of life,” a representative said.

As a result, the worldly line features an array of pieces with different textures, colors and price points ($4-$149) that makes it easy for shoppers to “select a few items or buy the whole range.” View some of the pieces in the collection, below.
