Launch: John Beck Steel
Collinsville, Illinois-based John Beck Steel‘s newest lighting line, called the Workman Series, is a collection of all-steel pendants designed to make incandescent bulbs, ahem, truly shine. “The bulbs do all the work; I’m just trying to show people how beautiful and functional they are,” says Beck. He envisions the fixtures being used over kitchen islands, in foyers and in bedrooms, in addition to commercial applications, such as hotels, restaurants and public spaces. The single-bulb square light comes in satin white, satin black or gloss machine gray, and the double-bulb piece also comes in matte black; however, both are available in custom colors.
