On View: The Landscape Architecture Of Dan Kiley

An exhibition of 45 newly commissioned photographs of more than two dozen landscape designs by Dan Kiley is on display at the University of California, Riverside’s campus in Palm Desert (75080 Frank Sinatra Drive). Organized by the Cultural Landscape Foundation, the show celebrates Kiley’s modernist postwar environments, such as the Oakland Museum of California. “Kiley worked in tandem with leading architects like Eero Saarinen and Edward Larrabee Barnes to realize designs that were elegantly interwoven,” says the organization’s founder, Charles A. Birnbaum. “His vision was one of clarity and infinity, just like a walk in the woods.”
