There’s always a lot of careful consideration about what goes into a picture-perfect wedding. There’s the hair, the colors, the makeup, the rings, the music, the dress. But what comes after “happily ever after”? Mostly: life, laughter and semi-regular disputes over who has to do the dishes.
What if, though, the plates themselves were particularly pretty. Would that eternal post-dinner marital debate finally be tabled? Wedding tastemaker supernova Monique Lhuillier is teaming up with Pottery Barn to find out. The bridal, ready-to-wear and accessory designer will be releasing an exclusive, multi-season home decor and entertaining collection with the brand — featuring tabletop, bedding, bath and more — that will debut just in time for winter wedding registries.
“Monique Lhuillier brings an elegant, romantic sensibility to Pottery Barn, and we’re excited to partner with her,” says Monica Bhargava, executive vice president of product development and design at the company. “Throughout the design process, we drew inspiration from Monique’s gowns, finding the perfect balance of femininity and modernity as we translated her use of color, prints and texture for the home.”
While Pottery Barn isn’t releasing any sneak peeks of the collection just yet, we’ll keep you posted come October to share our favorite items to come out of the collaboration. In the meantime, fingers crossed for sequins.
