Objets Nomades
The art of travel is the theme of this year’s Objets Nomades home-goods collection–Louis Vuitton‘s annual release since 2012–and much like the nature of the pieces themselves, an exhibit of the line is traveling to select locations, including the Windy City. Beginning in July, the brand’s boutique on Michigan Avenue will display an assortment of the 25 thought-provoking items, which include tables, chairs, lamps and more, each reimagined by some of the design industry’s most renowned names, such as Patricia Urquiola and Marcel Wanders. Pieces in the well-traveled collection include a talisman-inspired table by India Mahdavi, a woven-leather hammock by Atelier Oi and the hanging Cocoon chair by brothers Fernando Campana and Humberto Campana.
