Contributing Writer

Mary Ore has been a writer or editor for multiple design magazines. A native Californian, her early interest in architecture became apparent when, as a fourth-grader, she crafted Mission Santa Barbara out of cedar planks and clay, and her heart now quickens at adobe brick walls and mesquite wood detailing. Having lived in Paris, Tokyo and London, she’s taken the edge off her obsession with international design and settled back in the West, where she’s fallen for the beauty of the Arizona landscape and a thriving design scene that’s invigorated by the desert.
