Behind The New McKinnon And Harris NY Showroom

ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN | BY | August 5, 2019

Founded by Virginia-raised siblings Anne Massie and Will Massie, McKinnon and Harris has earned a reputation for finely handcrafted aluminum outdoor furnishings. The company has just unveiled a new showroom in the Decoration & Design Building, across the street from its previous New York location.

Brooklyn- and Virginia-based firm Architecture AF was tapped to renovate the space, which features an otherworldly white color palette, Renaissance- and Roman-era stone antiquities and their signature olive trees, as well as original artwork by Anne. This larger locale showcases McKinnon and Harris’ growing collection of offerings and includes a contemporary gallery.

New to the showroom are three dining chairs–the cushionless Fayette Yacht Chairs and Beaufort Yacht Chairs, and the Rives Dining Chairs. The D&D Building location will also be among the first where you can catch a peek at one of the company’s popular Virginia Benches.
