SEATTLE DESIGN FESTIVAL
How can we design for balance? The Seattle Design Festival tackles this question during its ninth annual outing August 6-25.
AIA Seattle and Design in Public, a local nonprofit devoted to promoting the quality-of-life-improving role of design, will partner with 120-plus organizations to investigate how innovation can create positive change through various installations, lectures and experiences citywide.
Architects, community members and civic leaders will demonstrate how design can work with nature’s own systems to restore balance in our communities and society at large. Participants will explore concepts like how to achieve work-life balance and how daily decisions impact our planet’s future.
