Wisteria is expanding into Houston.

That’s right, the Dallas-based premium furniture and decor company is opening its first store outside The Big D. The new 9,000-square-foot space is slated to open in early November at 3461 West Alabama in Houston.

Designed by Murphy Mears Architects with the shopping experience top of mind, the store will feature furniture, decorative accessories, lighting, mirrors, wall art, pillows, rugs and tabletop items–all inspired by Wisteria’s focus on creating, finding and mixing product design concepts from around the world.

The Houston showroom was designed to feature distinct themed areas devoted to various home decor categories, including specially designed pillows, stools, side tables and mirrors. There’s also a central “greenhouse” space with a skylight planned to not only showcase product but also accommodate special events, trunk shows, how-to presentations by design experts, visits by design celebrities and community events. The hope is that the atmosphere will entice customers to meet and mingle with friends or designers and peruse wares.

“We are so excited to be opening our first store outside of Dallas in Houston,” says Wisteria’s new president Caryn Lerner. “We already have many wonderful customers in Houston who are familiar with our brand from our catalog and web reach. We look forward to bringing the Wisteria brand to life in a store for them and for the many new customers who have yet to discover us.”
